New 3D ATC simulator Delivery for
Gate Aviation Training

Gate Aviation Training in Denmark decided last autumn to expand its eCoach ATC simulator training facilities in Copenhagen.

The first version of the system was delivered by Edda Systems in 2018. It has been scaled up stepwise since then - with additional positions, 3D Tower cabins, and functionalities. This last expansion nearly doubles the training capacity.

The system is based on Edda System’ “ATC simulation Anywhere” technology, a cloud-based solution enabling Gate Aviation to have its training facilities (subsidiaries) spread in different physical locations but still working as a unit. All working positions and tower-cabins can be accessed and included into one large simulator-system – operating seamlessly, across the physical locations.

Altogether, the installation(s) give access to 120 working positions, spread across Europe with both projector and monitor based solutions for 3D visualization. It includes Tower, Approach and Area control positions in addition to pilots and Instructors in the facilities.
