On November 24th, 2020, Edda Systems was contracted by Ricoh, Thailand, for an ATC simulator with 360 degrees tower view and 47 working positions. The end customer is the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC), Thailand. Ricoh has performed physical work on site, and Edda Systems has provided the eCoach ATC simulator technology.
In January 2021, four days of end customer training was performed, with 15 participants from CATC and Edda Systems’ instructor from home office in Norway. Ricoh facilitated the training, using Microsoft Teams from within the simulator. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, no travel or physical meetings have taken place.
“The simulator delivery has been a success without any problems”, says Mr. Aphirak Khramuamcharoen, Ricoh’s program manager.
